Crohn’s Disease, IBS
2. What has this illness taken away from you?
Ability to hang out with friends, being able to go to the beach, long road trips

Strength, Determination, and a greater appreciation for the little things in life

Not really…I’m going into the medical field so maybe one day I can understand this disease and treat people who also have it

listen to music, draw, play video games, walk it off

I never really have been…my pain comes and goes, but it’s like always there

Yes, my boyfriend is the best support system there is…he knows exactly what to say when i’m not feeling good :)
9. How do others react when they hear what your diagnosis is? Do they know about your illness?
They usually don’t know what it is and I have to explain to them in detail what it is

yep, especially when I’m bloated

Yep, it’s because I don’t act like I have an illness…I wear makeup to make me feel good and usually smile often, so no one really knows what’s going on

Anything rock…like Godsmack or just something soft like Adele…I like every type of music
13. Do you have something special that you carry around to help you reflect and get you through tough times?
Nope, I wanna make a IBD bracelet for myself though

I would be the happiest girl in the world and I could lead a normal life :)

Yep, laughter is the best medicine

I love to go swimming and it’s a good cardio workout
19. Since being diagnosed, have you done anything for the cause (walks, etc.)?
I have donated some of my intestine tissue for research from a colonoscopy, but I haven’t been able to do any walks so far cuz of running to the bathroom constantly
20. What is a word of advice you can give others who are chronically ill?
You are stronger than this disease, keep your chin up and if you have any questions feel free to ask me :)

Ewwww. Who takes a phone call in the public bathroom while they are still using the toilet…. They didn’t even wash their hands…
